Activities, prayers and financial support of the Finnish parishes make Felm’s international work possible. By taking part in the life of a local parish—particularly its mission and international activities—people can support Felm’s work around the world.
Together, Felm and each parish agree on the geographical and thematic priorities of their cooperation, and on how the work will be funded. The cooperation connects parish communities in Finland with churches and communities around the world.
Six areas of cooperation
Felm’s partnership model for parishes is organised around six themes. Parishes can direct their support to:
- strong churches that make a difference
- theological education and leadership
- diakonia—the church’s social ministry—and thriving families
- children and young people
- crisis response and disaster relief
- unrestricted support, allocated wherever the need is greatest
