The overall role of FIAB is to advise Felm on the implementation of its vision and mission. FIAB gives international partners a systematic role in shaping Felm’s strategic direction. It provides a regular forum where partners’ first-hand knowledge of their local contexts can inform strategies, programmes and policies while they are being developed. For example, FIAB has contributed to the development of Felm’s Gender Justice Policy and the Felm Fellowship.
What FIAB does
FIAB’s work focuses on four main areas:
- advising Felm’s strategic priorities and developing its international programmes
- shaping policies and improving how Felm works with its partners
- developing the Felm Fellowship as a network for learning and cooperation
- advising on resource mobilisation for Felm and its partners in support of Felm’s international programmes
Membership
The Felm International Advisory Board consists of eight members. The membership reflects regional and gender balance and includes a youth representative. Seven members represent Felm’s international partners, and one represents Felm’s Governing Board.
