Felm’s partner, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Botswana (ELCB), has around 26,000 members in more than 40 congregations. Felm supports the church’s ministry, administration and staff training.
Because much of the church’s work depends on active congregation members, volunteers play a central role in outreach and diakonia. They respond to practical needs by visiting people in hospital, helping families with limited means and supporting older people.
Regional church cooperation
The Lutheran Communion in Southern Africa (LUCSA) helps its member churches develop worship, promote gender justice and express a locally rooted Lutheran identity. This regional cooperation also benefits the church in Botswana.
