Corporate partnerships

Felm works with companies that want to combine responsible business with positive social and environmental impact.

A well-designed partnership can strengthen a company’s reputation and employer brand, build relationships with customers, and demonstrate corporate responsibility in practice.

We tailor each partnership to shared objectives and define the roles of both partners transparently. Companies can benefit from Felm’s visibility, events, communications channels and established Finnish initiatives, including Kauneimmat Joululaulut (“The Greatest Christmas Carols”).

Why partner with Felm?

Felm carries out programmes in 16 countries and collaborates with partners in almost 30 countries. Our work encompasses development cooperation, peacebuilding, humanitarian assistance and church cooperation, including diakonia and the training of church employees.

We work with local churches and civil society organisations on challenges identified by communities themselves. Our work focuses particularly on people experiencing poverty and discrimination, including women and girls, persons with disabilities, Dalits, Indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities. Corporate cooperation centres on lasting development impact—not the promotion of Finnish exports.

Companies can also help communities adapt to climate change and prevent further harm. Felm brings more than 160 years of international experience to the partnership. Our development cooperation receives funding from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and is regularly monitored and evaluated.

Ways to work with us

Before beginning a partnership, we discuss what the company wants to achieve and what each partner can contribute. Cooperation can include:

  • Donations and fundraising: Become a regular donor, create a fundraising campaign, or give charitable gifts to employees, customers or business partners. Donations can support children’s education and the rights of women and persons with disabilities.
  • Brand and communications partnerships: Develop a tailored campaign, product partnership or other initiative that reaches new audiences through Felm’s channels and public activities.
  • Expertise and pro bono support: Contribute professional knowledge, services, training or mentoring. Felm provides knowledge of local contexts and access to partner, university, and school networks. Cooperation can also include media partnerships and joint communications.
  • Joint projects and pilots: Develop services, adapt technology to local needs, diversify value chains or test new solutions in a Felm-supported project. Companies can learn about local operating environments while contributing to economic, climate, and social justice.

What we expect from our corporate partners

We work with companies that demonstrate responsible business practices, innovation and a commitment to positive development impact. Our partners must share our commitment to greater justice and support changes in policies, legislation and public attitudes that advance it.
